Climb and swing your way through the tall Ponderosa Pines near Fort Tuthill County Park with obstacles and ziplines ranging from 15 ft to 80 ft tall! WHAT: NAU Annual Winterfest Event

Flagstaff Halloween Events for the whole Family!

Just because we aren’t currently representing any haunted homes for sale in Flagstaff (that we know of!), doesn’t mean we’re not in the Halloween spirit! We recommend just visiting some of the Halloween themed “haunted houses” around Flagstaff along with othe spooktacular activities and events around town if you’re looking for a haunt! In fact, we’ve put together 4 of the events that are sure to be the most fun for the whole family to enjoy this All Hallows’ Eve!

1. Halloween at Lowell Observatory!

Love science? Love nature? Love Halloween? If you’ve answered yes to all of the above, then be sure not to miss Halloween at Lowell Observatory! On October 28th and 29th from 5pm-10pm, enjoy spooky demonstrations including Scary Astronomy, Freaky Physics, along with fun Haunted Observatory Tours and telescope stargazing!

2. Run for Your Life Haunted Trail

Tomorrow, Saturday October 29th, The Mogollon Monster returns to reclaim the forest at Fort Tuthill County Park! Run for your life if you dare! Put on your costumes on, register online at https://register.chronotrack.com/r/23556 and get ready to run at 5PM! Admission is $20 general, $15 for students and $5 for kids.

3. Flagstaff City Scramble

Who doesn’t love a scavenger hunt? Saturday, October 29th at 9AM break your family or friends into 2-4 person teams and meet at the Weatherford Hotel in the heart of Flagstaff. There will be clues and landmarks scattered throughout downtown Flagstaff and the campus of NAU. Best costumes and fastest teams will win prizes… so get hunting! Register online ($15 registration fee per entrant).

4. Halloween Harvest at Heritage Square

On the day of Halloween, October 31st, head downtown to Heritage square where the City of Flagstaff Recreation services will he be hosting a festival complete with arts, crafts, spooky tunes, pumpkin patch, Halloween carnival games, trick or treating and more! Children’s activities are free.

Celebrate Spring at the Arboretum!

We think we speak for everyone in Flagstaff when we say that we’re so glad Spring is finally here! With the warmer weather, longer days, camping and other vacations on the way, Spring and Summer are the months when life in Flagstaff really shines. The Arboretum seems to agree with us from the announcement that they are opening early this year and even holding an awesome Saturday celebration on April 16th! Get your kids excited about nature and the environment with a day packed full of kids activities including a 9-hole kids disc golf course, aerial arts performances, music, food and so much more! Kids even get in free! There will be booths and activities set up for 8 difference local environmental non-profits and organizations including the Sierra Club, Discing4Kids, the Grand Canyon Wolf Recovery Program, The Arboretum themselves and other. This is a great opportunity to purchase your membership to the Arboretum as well, because you’ll get 10% OFF! For anyone in town who is enjoying their newly purchased Flagstaff real estate and their first Spring as owners, this is a great organization to be a part of to get active in the community.

Lake Havasu Vintage Trailer Roundup

Lake Havasu City is known for all activities that take place in the great outdoors, especially those that involve the latest and greatest motorized toys. However, this weekend beginning November 6th through this Sunday, November 8th, take a stroll back in time when things were a little less flashy, and a little more snazzy! The Havasu Round Up: Vintage Trailer Campout will be taking place for all to enjoy. Bring your vintage trailer and camp out all weekend at the SARA Park Rodeo Grounds. Don’t have a vintage trailer but appreciate the classics? Spectators get in free to peruse all the Airstreams and Canned Hams they can handle.

Attendees are welcome to sell their wares from their campers and decorate their trailers in fun and unusual ways! The event will culminate with a potluck Saturday at 5pm where prizes will be awarded for the best western outfit and most interesting/unusual trailer decorations. This is a great chance to show off your Lake Havasu real estate on wheels and get to know Lake Havasu City’s die-hard RV community. Bring your family and the dog to hang out by the lake, visit the cactus garden, and enjoy the hiking trails that snake through SARA park. Restrooms and showers on-site.
