]]> Just because we aren’t currently representing any haunted homes for sale in Flagstaff (that we know of!), doesn’t mean we’re not in the Halloween spirit! We recommend just visiting some of the Halloween themed “haunted houses” around Flagstaff along with othe spooktacular activities and events around town if you’re looking for a haunt! In fact, we’ve put together 4 of the events that are sure to be the most fun for the whole family to enjoy this All Hallows’ Eve!

1. Halloween at Lowell Observatory!

Love science? Love nature? Love Halloween? If you’ve answered yes to all of the above, then be sure not to miss Halloween at Lowell Observatory! On October 28th and 29th from 5pm-10pm, enjoy spooky demonstrations including Scary Astronomy, Freaky Physics, along with fun Haunted Observatory Tours and telescope stargazing!

2. Run for Your Life Haunted Trail

Tomorrow, Saturday October 29th, The Mogollon Monster returns to reclaim the forest at Fort Tuthill County Park! Run for your life if you dare! Put on your costumes on, register online at https://register.chronotrack.com/r/23556 and get ready to run at 5PM! Admission is $20 general, $15 for students and $5 for kids.

3. Flagstaff City Scramble

Who doesn’t love a scavenger hunt? Saturday, October 29th at 9AM break your family or friends into 2-4 person teams and meet at the Weatherford Hotel in the heart of Flagstaff. There will be clues and landmarks scattered throughout downtown Flagstaff and the campus of NAU. Best costumes and fastest teams will win prizes… so get hunting! Register online ($15 registration fee per entrant).

4. Halloween Harvest at Heritage Square

On the day of Halloween, October 31st, head downtown to Heritage square where the City of Flagstaff Recreation services will he be hosting a festival complete with arts, crafts, spooky tunes, pumpkin patch, Halloween carnival games, trick or treating and more! Children’s activities are free.

Events Galore

There are no shortage of great events happening in and around Flagstaff in the fall months. Best Fall Hiking Around

We’ve already discussed in previous blogs how great the outdoors element of living in Flagstaff is. That goes without saying in such a picturesque city. In the Fall those same points are tenfold.  There are tons of great hiking trails where you can see all the fall colors you can imagine including Wilson Meadow, Aspen Nature Loop, Bismarck Lake, Abineau-Bear Jaw Loop, Inner Basin Trail, and Kachina Trail–just to name a few. Sunset.com even ranked Flagstaff number 3 on their top 18 spots for fall color.

Perfect Weather

While you’re hiking you’ll be treated to some of the nicest–if a bit chilly–weather around as you breath in that crisp mountain air. In September you’ll be treated with highs in the 70s and lows in the 40s with those temperatures dropping about 10 degrees each month in October and November. You and the family might have to bundle up a bit in November, but it’s so worth it!
