14 Nov Flagstaff Festival of Trees at the Arboretum
If you currently live in town, or have any desire to own Flagstaff real estate, you probably have a healthy appreciation for trees! Flagstaff, Arizona is surrounded by the dense and beautiful Coconino National Forest. When you picture the prototypical holiday winter wonderland, that’s pretty much what Flagstaff looks like throughout most of the holidays. Complete with pine trees, beautiful light displays and decorations downtown, and snow-peaked mountains. (We even close off a street each year for a downtown snowboarding competition!) What better way to kick off the start to the holiday season than with a Festival of Trees at the famous Arboretum at Flagstaff?
The Arboretum is visited by over 10,000 tourists each year to experience the 200+ acres of trails and 2,500+ native species of plants. With beautifully arranged ponds, gardens, trails, wetlands and an amphitheater, the Arboretum is one of Flagstaff’s many great places to explore and appreciate nature. The Festival of Trees is the perfect way to start the holidays where the Arboretum will showcases trees, wreaths, lights, and many other spirited displays created by our own local Flagstaffians. The community is encouraged to donate decorated Christmas trees and other seasonal creations to be part of a raffle Saturday, December 5th. This event begins this weekend and will be held every weekend until the weekend of December 5th when the raffle will take place. We hope to see you there!
