23 Oct Flagstaff’s Riordan Mansion Halloween Tours
Within the city limits of Flagstaff is the Riordan Mansion State Historic Park. This historical mansion includes two nearly identical homes constructed in 1904. They are connected together with a common room creating a 13,000 sq ft mansion together (that would make some killer Flagstaff real estate if only it were for sale)! The original owners were the Riordan brothers, who were a prominent family in the early years of Arizona’s statehood. They played a large role in the development of Flagstaff and all of northern Arizona. The architect of the homes that created Riordan mansion was Charles Whittlesey who was also behind the El Tovar Hotel at the Grand Canyon.
The historic and somewhat eerie atmosphere of Riordan Mansion and it’s surrounding five acres create a perfect backdrop for creepy Halloween tours! Next week, beginning Wednesday October 28, Riordan Mansion will be hosting a unique nighttime program. Reservations will go quickly for these fun guided tours featuring some haunting stories combining “the factual and the fantastic.” These tours are not for the faint of heart, and are recommended for ages 12 and up! Contact the Riordan Mansion Static Historic park (928-779-4395) to reserve a tour for your family!
