Experience Flagstaff’s 6th Annual Hopi All-Native & Cultural Festival

Northern Arizona has a rich history of Native American culture. With petroglyphs that can be found within city limits on the walls of Picture Canyon, on the red rocks of neighboring Sedona, and the Navajo Nation next door to the north, Flagstaff takes pride in it’s diverse Native population and history. Homes for sale in Flagstaff AZ are always a stone’s throw away from natural monuments and places of historical Native American significance. This weekend the Hopi tribe celebrates the arts and culture of all Native Americans across New Mexico and Arizona right in Hopi-owned Heritage Square, located in the heart of Downtown Flagstaff.

The aim of the Hopi Festival is to educate the city of Flagstaff with traditional social dances, art, and foods. And ultimately, to unite Flagstaff with it’s surrounding neighbors and promote joy, unity, and stewardship of the earth for everyone. Many streets will be closed down this year to expand the festival even further, providing an enchanting open air festival ambiance throughout downtown. The festival will include live musical performances, Kachina doll carving, weaving, and painting demonstrations, dance groups, and much more!

If you’re sold and want to attend this free festival, come on up to Flagstaff this Saturday September 26th, and Sunday September 27th.
