The Town of Sedona has a population of about 15 thousand people. Those who own Sedona real estate are privy to the stunning red rock scenery that is unlike any other location in the world. Sedona and it’s surrounding areas are home to creeks, caves, red rock cliffs, valleys, Native American ancient ruins, and both dense forest and desert.
Local art galleries are another common attraction in Sedona. There are more than 40 art galleries with every type of art under the sun. Sedona is a premier destination for art fanatics worldwide. Along with Sante Fe, New Mexico, Sedona is one of the top art locations of the Southwest, complete with it’s own unique signature styles.
Sedona is located nearly 30 miles south of Flagstaff, and 110 miles to the north of Phoenix, Arizona. The weather is also utterly unique. It differs from both Flagstaff and Phoenix. Phoenix suffers from incredible heat, while Flagstaff while beautiful is one of the snowiest cities in America. The elevation of Phoenix is 1000 ft, Flagstaff’s is 7000 feet, and Sedona is comfortably in the middle at 4500 feet. Sedona has mild, but present seasons and only about 8 inches of snow a year, which melts within a day.
In January, the average high in Sedona is 57 °F and a low of 31 °F. And in July the average high is 97 °F with a comfortable low of 64 °F..
