Sedona is located nearly 30 miles south of Flagstaff, and 110 miles to the north of Phoenix, Arizona. The weather is also utterly unique. It differs from both Flagstaff and Phoenix. Phoenix suffers from incredible heat, while Flagstaff while beautiful is one of the snowiest cities in America. The elevation of Phoenix is 1000 ft, Flagstaff’s is 7000 feet, and Sedona is comfortably in the middle at 4500 feet. Sedona has mild, but present seasons and only about 8 inches of snow a year, which melts within a day.
In January, the average high in Sedona is 57 °F and a low of 31 °F. And in July the average high is 97 °F with a comfortable low of 64 °F..
